On March 29th, BHP donated firefighting equipment, rescue gear and training support to the LeRoy and District Fire Department.

Equipment included fifteen (15) sets of turnout gear with self-contained breathing apparatus’ with ten (10) spare tanks along with a cascade system filling unit. Training will include high-angle rescue and confined space along with required gear to perform these services. This equipment and training will assist the LeRoy and District Fire Department to provide emergency support to the Jansen Potash Project which is located 11 kilometres south of the Town of LeRoy.
